The Ghana Journalists Association has directed all its members to ensure payment of their dues in full to cover 2023 by close of work on Friday, January 19.
This is to enable the association to process the list of members in good standing for submission to the Office of the Registrar of Companies in accordance with provisions in the Professional Bodies Registration Act, 1973 (NRCD 143).
The Act mandates Professional Bodies to submit a list of their members to the Registrar annually, before the 31 of January in each year.
A Statement issued and signed by GJA General Secretary Kofi Yeboah, said the GJA, will close the list of members in good standing for 2021, adding that the list will be the reference source for members in good standing for 2023, including membership eligibility criterion for participation in the 28 Annual GJA Media Awards later this year.
