EU Ambassador to Ghana Irchad Razaaly speaks on initiative to propel economic growth

The European Union (EU) Ambassador to Ghana, Irchad Razaaly has explained the objectives for the adoption of a new global Europe instrument programme.

The multinational inductive programme is a joint partnership between Ghana and the EU, to develop a team- Europe spirit with other European countries within a six -year period (2021 to 2027).

Speaking on the GTV Breakfast Show, Mr. Irchad Razaaly revealed some transformational processes to consolidate Ghana’s middle income status as a democratic State in a sustainable manner.

He pointed out that the main priority of the EU is to link the issues of sustainability and how to develop strong economic growth.

Ghana is an aspiring middle income country (MIC) which continues to face challenges in delivering basic social services and in building institutional capacities.

The EU has been a key development partner to Ghana for many years, due to a stable democratic system of governance.

The partnership with the EU is seeking to address the key sectors of growth, job creation, smart and sustainable cities, and good governance.
