The Rebecca Foundation has taken delivery of some detergents and hand sanitizers from the Europrima Industries Limited in support of the Foundation’s work.
Europrima is the producer of SoKlin washing powder, Boom and Santex products.
The items were 850 cartons of washing powder, liquid detergents, dishwashing and hand washing soaps, and sanitizers.
Ms Mabel Senanu, the Director of Human Resource, Europrima Industries Limited, who presented the items, said the move was part of the Social Responsibility activities of the company.
“We are very happy to do this donation and we hope the Foundation will distribute to hospitals, orphanages and institutions as it always does,” she said.
Ms Senanu said the gesture was to honour the memory of the Founder and matriarch of
Europrima Industries, Gifty Esinam Champion, who had a “heart for the underprivileged.” “We are also using this opportunity to honour the memory of our dearly departed matriarch, the late Madam Gifty Esinam Champion, who was an avid advocate of initiatives and causes geared towards the betterment of women and children, just as the Rebecca Foundation does,” she said.
Mrs Akosua Newman of the Rebecca Foundation, who received the items, expressed gratitude for the gesture and gave the assurance that “the items would be used to support the needy in our communities as we always do.”
