The Food and Drugs Authority, FDA, has reiterated that the ban stopping celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages is not to deprive them of basic means of living, but rather forms part of efforts to protect children and prevent them from being lured into alcoholism.
The Chief Regulatory Officer and Head of Food Enforcement Department of the FDA, Maria Aba Lovelace Johnson in an interview on the UNIIQ Breakfast Drive, said the ban does not only cover celebrities in Ghana but also international celebrities.
