Reports indicate sixteen fishermen have been found in the search for survivors of the fishing boat disaster at Ada, in the Greater Accra Region.
The incident is reportedly after two fishing boats carrying fishermen capsized in the estuary while trying to enter the Volta River.
Speaking to GBCNEWS, the Ada Foah Acting Chief Fisherman Nene Atterh Sappor said that all the 16 fishermen were rescued alive.
He stated that the search party is still looking for the others. Nene Sappor also revealed that his outfit had received a call that a dead body had been found at Akpler Torkor, a community in the Volta Region and subsequently dispatched a team there for identification.
Meanwhile, one of the survivors, Gabriel Kwame who is also the captain of one of the boats named Sholon narrated how he was able to rescue two of his members.
