Former Board Member of GBC, Lecturer and Former Member of the National Media Commission, Dr. Doris Dartey has passed on. She died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, after battling cancer for six years.
As a communications consultant, the late Dr. Dartey undertook assignments for donor organisations including Nordic Development Fund, AU Commission, African Development Bank, UNESCO, and STAR-Ghana.
Her work was mostly based on the environment, sanitation, gender, research and communication skills training.
She was a former Chairperson of the board of directors of the Graphic Communications Group Limited.
As a practicing journalist, she hosted programs on Ghana Television for 12 years and taught communication courses in Ghana, the US GIMPA and Ghana Institute of Journalism.
Arrangements for her burial will be announced later.
