The EU has promised to support Ghana with its fight against the novel coronavirus and especially shares Ghana’s vision to produce Vaccines.
The new EU Ambassador to Ghana Irchard Razaaly, said this when he presented his letter of credence to President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House, Accra. He is part of four new Diplomats accredited to Ghana by their respective countries to have presented their Letters of Credence to President Akufo-Addo at brief ceremonies at Jubilee House on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
The other envoys are Joao Baptist a Dominos Quiosa ‘John’, Angolan Ambassador to Ghana; Ingrid Mollestad, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Ghana; Tamas Endre Feher, Ambassador of Hungary to Ghana.
All four envoys took separate turns to present their letters of credence to the President and delivered their messages of solidarity from their respective Heads of State to President Akufo-Addo.
The Hungarian Ambassador, Mr. Tamas Endre Feher, noted that there are some Hungarian companies in Ghana doing business, adding that more of such business would be welcomed, when the impact of the Covid-19 blues improves.
President Akufo-Addo welcomed all the Envoys and assured them of Ghana’s commitment to strengthen ties between Ghana and their respective countries.
For Hungary, President Akufo-Addo noted that financial institutions there are supporting sanitation companies like Jospong Group to generally improve sanitation in Ghana.
For Norway, the President recounted his visit to that country and the warm ties that exist between the 2 countries.
Messages from the Envoys focused primarily on the desire for their countries to deepen bilateral, trade and economic ties with Ghana. The Envoys pledged to work extremely hard to ensure that during their tours of duty in Ghana, those objectives are achieved.
President Akufo-Addo in his response to the messages of solidarity from the 4 Envoys, assured them that his government is ready to work with them at all levels to ensure that they have a successful tour of duty in Ghana.
