A well-known Human Rights Lawyer, Francis-Xavier Sosu has unveiled that his new single titled ‘Grace for Race’ song inspired by his personal journey. This journey was marked by the harsh realities of growing up as the third child of a trokosi mother, a practice where individuals are given to the gods for the atonement of the forefather’s sin.

He said, “…I think that everything about life requires grace. What inspired the song is my own journey. I know as many who have followed my story know the fact that I was born by a woman who was a victim of trokosi…”.

Moreover, Lawyer Sosu underscored the importance of self-belief and faith, drawing upon Christian teachings to inspire hope and resilience. With a significant Christian population in Ghana, he referenced Psalm 34 verse 19 serves as a reminder that challenges are part of life, but divine intervention can lead to overcoming them.

He highlighted the struggles faced by various individuals in different occupations, including drivers, market vendors, and laborers. He emphasized that despite their current roles, many of them are educated and capable individuals deserving of respect.

Furthermore, Lawyer Sosu addressed speculations regarding the political inclinations of his music, clarifying that his songs are not tied to any specific political party despite his role as the Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency.

He emphasized that the purpose of his music is to instill hope in the youth, offering encouragement and inspiration regardless of the challenges they may be facing.
