President Akufo-Addo has urged the Ga Traditional Council and the Ga Mantse to resolve all chieftaincy issues within the Traditional Council. He also asked the traditional authorities to maintain the peace the Region is enjoying. President Akufo-Addo gave the advice when he met with the Ga Mantse and the Ga Traditional Council to introduce the MMDCEs who have been approved in the Region. Out of the 29 nominated, 27 have been confirmed. President Akufo-Addo congratulated the Ga Manste on his ascension to the throne. He said Central Government will continue to partner the Traditional Authorities to maintain peace. ”Chieftaincy issues are taking much attention of Government”, he said.
President Akufo Addo commended the Ga Mantse for his desire to end disputes in the region. He reiterated his determination to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa.
The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru commended President Akufo-Addo for the developmental projects in the Region.
He pledged to maintain the peace in the region and end all chieftaincy disputes. He expressed the determination of the Ga Traditional Council to rename the Greater Accra Region, as the Ga Dangbe Region.
Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru also appealed to the President to maintain Teachers with Ga background in the region to facilitate the teaching and learning of the language in schools.
