GBC’s Peggy Ama Donkor is the Journalist of the year 2021 for the Ghana Leadership Awards 2021. She was among more than 30 Personalities who were honored at the annual event organized by the Ghana Leadership Foundation.
This makes it the second time Miss Peggy Ama Donkor has been adjudged the Journalist of the year, the first being in 2005 by the Ghana Journalists Association GJA.
A citation that accompanied her nomination reads “You have committed yourself to the service of our dear Country Ghana and still doing all possible to tackle challenges facing her, your style is for others to emulate, one thing that cannot be taken away from you is your impeccable human relations and readiness to listen and serve your company, Ghana and Africa to their expectations.
Ghana Leadership Awards are exclusively meant for Politicians, Sports personalities, civil servants, celebrities, traditional authorities, the C-level professionals among others.
Some past awardees are HE. President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, Former President John Mahama, Former. President JA Kufuor, Late Former President JJ Rawlings, Former Accountant General Mr. KK Bosompim, Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo and Mr. Napoleon Ato Kittoe of GTV who was adjudged the Journalist of the year in 2020.
Among the awardees this year was the Zongo Development Fund Dr. Sulemana Abdulai Arafat. For their awards, they took away a certificate and a plaque.
