Ghana Health Service tightens surveillance at Ghana’s borders

The Ghana Health Service has tightened surveillance at all the country’s borders and put additional measures in place at the Airports to avoid transportation of the  Delta variant.

Additional measures have also been put in place at the Airport to avoid transportation of the variant.

The Director-General of the Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye, at a media briefing said the Delta Variant spreads faster than all other variants and has a high transmissible rate.

There is, therefore, the need to enforce existing protocols.

He said Government is also working to ensure that vaccines are available for all.
