In a move that underscores the deepening ties between Ghana and international technology partners, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has met with Head of the Business Environment Department of Huawei Technologies (Ghana) S.A. Limited, Ms. Julia Qiu Ye.
The discussions, held on Monday, April 7, 2025, focused on expanding cooperation in digitalisation and renewable energy solutions.
Strengthening Partnerships in Digital Transformation
During the meeting, Ms. Qiu Ye expressed her satisfaction with Huawei’s ongoing and fruitful partnership with the Government of Ghana. Highlighting past successes, she emphasised Huawei’s dedication to further solidifying the mutually beneficial relationship between the company and the country.
“Our collaborative efforts in digital transformation have yielded remarkable results, and we are committed to driving further advancements that will benefit Ghana,” she indicated.
She stressed the significance of digital innovation in modernising public services.
A Vision for Renewable Energy Solutions
Addressing the evolving energy landscape, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, commended the notable achievements that have emerged from the enduring cooperation between Ghana and Huawei. He underscored that, in tandem with the Government’s agenda to revamp the energy sector, Huawei could contribute critical solutions toward more efficient and sustainable renewable energy implementations.
