Ghana police CID investigates 53 SHS on alleged exchange of food for cash

The Criminal Investigations Department, CID of the Ghana Police service is investigating 53 Senior High Schools for allegedly exchanging foods supplied to them for Cash.

This was in a letter signed by the Deputy Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Anthony Boateng and sighted by GBC’s Garden City Radio in Kumasi.

 

The letter is copied to the Ashanti Regional Director of the GES, the Minister of Education, Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, Director of Human Resource of GES and Director of Schools and Instructions.

The letter urged the District Directors of Education to release Head teachers or Mistresses or Assistants, Domestic Bursars, Accountants and storekeepers of the schools involved in the alleged shady deals to the CID for investigation upon request.
