Ghana Water Limited (GWL), says it will soon embark on a nationwide revenue mobilization exercise. The exercise is expected to start from Monday, November 20.
The initiative aims to recover all outstanding payments from valued customers. As part of this endeavor, disconnection teams and task forces will be dispatched to various regions and district offices, targeting customers with overdue bills.
According to the Ghana Water Company all disconnected individuals will only be reconnected upon settling their outstanding bills and re-connection fees.
The teams will not only focus on disconnecting defaulters but will also scrutinize illegal connections, self-re-connections, and the illicit use of in-line booster pumps at customer premises.
The announcement issues a stern warning to all individuals caught that they would be arrested and prosecuted.
