Ghanaians in Liberia donate to orphanage to commemorate 66th Independence anniversary

As part of activities to commemorate Ghana’s 66th Independence Day Celebration, the Ghana Embassy and Ghanaians living in Liberia have donated items to underprivileged Liberian children in Paynesville.

The items which included bags of rice, boxes of made in Ghana chocolate, soft drinks, a cake decorated in Ghana colors were donated to the Rescue for Abandoned and Children in Hardship, REACH.

Ghana’s Ambassador to Liberia, Okubi-Appiah used the occasion to motivate the children to cultivate the habit of patriotism as future leaders of their country and Africa as a whole.

He urged them not to lose hope and strife for a better future.
