Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ghana have risen from 2 to 6 as at March 14, 2020.
The Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie, who announced the new developments at a media briefing in Accra said these new cases like the previous two were imported into the county.
He said the four new cases were recorded in the Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions.
“One of the four new cases is a 56-year-old Ghanaian male who returned from a UK trip on March 4, reported himself to a health facility eight days after developing symptoms similar to that of COVID-19.”
Giving a breakdown of the new cases, Dr Badu Sarkodie said all six are in a stable condition. Dr Badu Sarkodie said so far about 200 cases have been traced and will be quarantined.
