President Akufo-Addo has assured citizens of his commitment to protecting the country’s democracy during a speech at the Graduation Parade for Short Services Commission and Special Duties Intakes 61 at Teshie.
In his address, the President stated that in two weeks, Ghana will show its democratic strength by holding free and fair elections.
He called on the military to maintain professionalism and neutrality to ensure the peace and security of all citizens.
“I want to assure all Ghanaians that our democracy will remain steadfast and unshaken,” President Akufo-Addo noted.
He emphasized that the right to a free and fair election is a fundamental right, and he is committed to ensuring the will of the people is respected in every election. He also assured that no political ambitions would be allowed to disrupt the peace and stability the country has worked hard to build.
President Akufo-Addo pledged that as he transitions from office, he will do so with deep respect for Ghana’s democratic process, ensuring the nation’s democracy is safeguarded for future generations.
The speech received strong support as the President reaffirmed his dedication to upholding the values that ensure peace and democracy in Ghana.
