President of the Ghana Journalist Association, Roland Affail Monney says the Association intends to initiate processes of regulating the media space in terms of content generation.
This is to bring professionalism and standards into contents and programmes produced, especially by private stations.
Mr Monney’s comment comes after the killing of an 11-year-old boy by some teenagers who claim it was for ritual purposes.
The issue has generated public uproar where people are calling for the closure of such stations who promote ritual activities.
In an interview with GBC NEWS, Mr Monney said the issue has reignited the need to sanitize the media landscape.
While, condemning the act by the teenagers Mr Monney asked that all hands must be on deck to check excesses from media organizations in terms of content.
