The  Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church, Ghana, Rt Rv Prosper Dzomeku has reiterated the call to reject a law to impose same sex marriage in the country. He said persons who are championing that cause are enemies to humanity.

Rt Rev Dzomeku said current trends where young people are opting to be single instead of married is demonic and an attack to the body of Christ.

He was speaking at the 35th Anniversary climax of the Global Evangelical Church Yaweh Chapel Lashibi in Accra.

Dwelling on Mathew 19, the Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church Ghana Rt Rev Prosper Dzomeku said marriage is the foundation of the  church and as Christ directed, a union is between a man and woman and not same sex.

This is why every move to impose a law intended to change the narrative of marriage must be rejected at all cost.

Rt Rev Dzomeku said the church is gradually losing it divine authority to shape nations, societies and families because Christ who is the head has been relegated. A situation that has paved the way for division in all facets of life.

He prayed the victims of the Akosombo and Kpong dam spillage saying the Lord will replace everything they have lost.

He said the global evangelical church is mobilising resources to go to the aid of the victims. He urged government to ensure that the victims are properly cared for.

Chairman of the occasion and head of the anniversary planning committee Rockson Dogbega recounted the history of the church and said the sacrifices of the founding fathers have paid off because the gospel has spread to several parts of the world where lives have been transformed and destinies changed.

Members danced to praise God for how far he has brought them from a humble begining of about 15 members. Building together, growing together was the theme for the 35th anniversary celebrations.

Citations were given to those deserving. Funds were also raised to complete the church project.
