Government is set to announce a three-member committee that is expected to enquire into the sequence of events, crowd rioting and crowd control methods in Ejura on June 29.
This comes after, President Akufo-Addo instructed the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, to immediately conduct a Public Inquiry into circumstances that led to the death of the Social Media Activist and Journalist, Ibrahim Mohammed, on Monday and Tuesday’s riots which resulted in the killing of Abdul Nasir Yusssif and Murtala Mohammed.
A statement signed by the Acting Director of Communications, at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, directed the Interior Minister to provide a detailed report from the inquiry, with recommendations for appropriate action, within 10 days to the President.
