GPCC launches 50th anniversary celebration

The President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, GPCC, Prof Frimpong Manso says there is already a contention about the validity of the alleged tape of the NDC Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

He added that unless the Council sees the original tape, it will be very harming for the council to give any comment.

Speaking at the launch of the Council’s Golden Jubilee Celebration, Prof Frimpong Manso said Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has denied any wrongdoing in the ongoing leaked tape controversy, adding that, political parties should not run country by creating tension.

Starting as a fellowship of four churches, some fifty years ago, the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, GPCC, has grown into one of the most formidable christian voice in the country with a membership of more than two hundred and fifty Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. This makes it the largest christian block in the country.

Launching the Council’s Golden Jubilee, Prof Frimpong Manso said the council will continue to build partnerships and alliances with government, civil Society and other external stakeholders to strengthen its advocacy role in the peace and socio-economic transformation of the country.

Touching on the the recent video of Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ on Galamsey, he said culprits found culpable should be punished accordingly.

The golden jubilee celebration of the GPCC, will be climaxed in October.
