Prosecution Team for the case of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, (GPHA), late Public Affairs Manager, Josephine Asante’s, murder has requested a one month period from the Tema Magistrate Court to enable it to get the duplicate copy of the docket ready for onward submission to the Attorney-General’s office for advice.
According to the Team, investigations are still going on The Judge, Akosua Anokyewaa Agyapong, complained about the delays in the investigations and urged them to stick to their timelines.
Counsel for the first accused, Baba Jamal, was absent; however, Counsel for second accused, Isaac Eshun, who was unhappy with the delays asked the Prosecution to be candid with the Court about what exactly is causing the delays in filing the duplicate docket.
He also mentioned the inhumane treatments meted to the first accused, who is still in custody and pleaded with the Court to appeal to the Police Service to put measures in place for the first accused to be properly cared for.
The first accused, Christian Adjei, a houseboy of the deceased is still on remand while her driver, Amos Apreku, the second accused, is on bail.
The case has been adjourned to August 8, 2019.
