The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has apologised to the public for the outage in some parts of the country.
According to GRIDCo, the outage happened yesterday (March 12) when some transmission lines in the west tripped together with all generating units at Aboadze, Bui, Asogli, Kpone, and the Kpong generating stations.
A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations of GRIDCo, Albert Kwesi Quainoo said all transmission lines have been restored, however, it took some time for some thermal generating units to restart resulting in the long outage.
The statement said all bulk supply points have been restored this morning. GRIDCo assures the public that they will continue to work with all stakeholders to provide adequate supply to customers.
