The African Institute of Public Health Professionals (AIPHP) will host the 6th Annual International Public Health Conference (AIPHC) from 12th to 14th November 2024 in Accra, Ghana.
The event will take place at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana, under the theme, “Sustainable Investment in Health: A Sine Qua Non to Building Resilient Health Systems and Health Security in Africa.”
This highly anticipated gathering will bring together researchers, academicians, policymakers, civil society organisations, private sector representatives, youth advocates, and public health activists. The conference aims to foster the exchange of ideas, collaboration opportunities, and discussions on the latest public health trends and challenges across Africa.
The AIPHP has played a pivotal role in advancing public health standards since its establishment. Over the years, the AIPHC has grown to become a prominent event, with past editions held in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Egypt, and Rwanda.
The 2024 conference is expected to focus on health system resilience, sustainable development, and innovative health solutions, with an emphasis on addressing health disparities across the continent.
Key objectives include knowledge sharing among health professionals, developing strategic plans to enhance healthcare delivery in Africa, and fostering multisectoral collaborations.
The conference will also emphasize sustainable development, public health innovation, and the importance of universal health coverage (UHC) in achieving equitable healthcare access across Africa.
Distinguished speakers at the conference include Dr. Meftah M. Etwilb, Dr. Ayodele Bankole James, Dr. Naeema Al Qasseer, and several professors and health experts from various institutions across Africa and beyond.
The event will feature discussions on subthemes such as investing in health, budget allocation, healthcare worker retention, health technologies, and health research and training.
