The Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, has assured Ghanaians and the International Community that the country is safe despite the recent arrest of some alleged coup plotters.
He insisted that the security agencies are on top of investigations and will leave no stone un-turned to ensure the security and safety of all.
He was speaking at a news conference in Accra.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hadzide has cautioned Ghanaians against trivialising the seriousness and gravity of the recent attempted destabilization of the Country.
He described the reaction following the announcement and the subsequent arrest of the alleged coup plotters by a section of the public, as regrettable and unfortunate.
Providing instances where sitting Presidents have been assassinated with just a gun, Mr Hadzide said Ghanaians should allow the courts to deal with the issues especially when the security agencies have critically done the necessary investigations before taking action.
He was answering questions from newsmen in Accra.
