The Minister for Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council, has lifted curfews on Saboba and Bimbilla, both in the Northern Region, with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement signed by the sector minister on February 24, 2025.
The decision follows the genuine desire of the chiefs and people of the area to sustain peace as well as the improvement in the security situation in the area.
The statement stated that government continues to express its gratitude to the chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, youth, and people of the area and urges them to continue to resort to peaceful means in solving their problems.
