Italian PM calls on President Akufo-Addo

Italian Prime Minister,  Giuseppe Conte has paid a courtesy call on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.

The Prime Minister is in Ghana  to assess the progress of work at the new Training Centre for diversified agriculture development and entrepreneurship being undertaken by Oil giant ENI at Dormaa in the Bono region.

The center consists of a Campus for up to 800 students, with classrooms, workshops, offices among others.

Besides training activities,  the Project will facilitate access to micro-credit and to the labor market.

The Italian Prime Minister,  Giuseppe Conte Italy  pledged to support Ghana in the areas of agriculture and defence.

President Akufo-Addo thanked the Italian government for its support at improving  agric training in the country as well as Security on the African continent. 

The two leaders later observed the signing of a Defense Cooperation agreement between Ghana and Italy.
