In a recent effort to promote environmental awareness, the Jesus Rescue Team, alongside other stakeholders, has led a comprehensive clean-up at Tema New Town.
According to the Lead Missionary of Jesus Rescue, in an interview with the media, Missionary Michael Davies highlighted their recent outreach efforts in Tema New Town, emphasising the urgent need for a comprehensive clean-up to address the severe sanitation challenges faced by the residents.
Missionary Michael said that the partnership of Zoom Lion Limited, is an acknowledgement of its esteemed reputation in waste management and community service to organise a large-scale cleanup exercise to restore a healthier and more hygienic environment for the residents of the area.
“Our goal is not only to remove the accumulated waste but also to foster a sense of community responsibility among the residents,” he said.
For her part, Rev. Deborah Hong from Love Ghana Mission added her voice that the cleanup initiative will bring substantial benefits to the Tema New Town community, including:
The representatives from Team Logos Hope Ship, Blanche Tabot, Cameroon; Camille Ehrismann, France; Anne Garcia, Brazil; Albert Vinson, USA; and Susan Würschum, Germany, also added their voices, saying that the exercise will go a long way to improving public health by reducing the risk of diseases related to poor sanitation.
