Local Organising Committee of 3rd African Media Convention appeals to Journalists to register for Conference

The Local Committee of the 3rd African Media Convention is encouraging journalists, communicators, media organisations, students and corporate partners who have not registered to do so now to participate in the convention, which is barely 3 weeks away.

From May 15-17 2024, Ghana will host the 3rd African Media Convention in Accra at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The annual media convention is a collaborative effort supported by African media stakeholders, to reflect on the fundamental role of journalism on the continent, celebrate fundamental principles of press freedom and deliberate on measures to safeguard media freedom and promote access to information, the safety of journalists and media visibility in AU Member States.

The convention will bring together  media experts, scholars, students, journalists journalists’ unions and associations, editors, private and public sectors, including cooperating partners from and around the African continent and beyond, as well as representatives from UNESCO and African Union Commission.

There will be exciting sessions, discussions, and side events for all to participate in. 

The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Information, is partnering with the Ghana Journalists Association and other key stakeholders to host the Convention. The LOC is therefore calling on interested participants and media houses who have not registered to take advantage of the extension to register using the link.
