The Ministry of information has finally published the Justice Brobbey Commission’s report on the creation of six new Regions on its Website as directed by the President last week.
President Akufo Addo asked that steps be taken by the Ministry to release the 428 paged report to ensure transparency.
In the report, the Commission justifies its recommendation that a Referendum should be limited to the boundaries of the proposed new regions.
The report published by the Information Ministry also sets out the justification for the creation of the Regions, stating that it found substantial demand for the six new Regions.
The Supreme Court last month dismissed a suit challenging the referendum for the creation of the six new regions.
This has paved the way for the Electoral Commission to go ahead with the referendum on the creation of new Regions on December 27.
