Justice Kwasi Anto appointed Sole Inquirer in Bulgarian Embassy land case

Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor has appointed Justice Kwasi Anto Ofori Attah as Sole Inquirer into the circumstances that led to the demolition of the Bulgarian Embassy in Accra by a private developer.

Justice Kwesi Anto Ofori Atta’s terms of reference include  a full and impartial inquiry into the alleged encroachment and/or demolishing of property on the land being used as the Bulgarian Embassy, make appropriate recommendations relating to the land being used as the Bulgarian Embassy; Inquire into the nature of interest in any land held or occupied by Diplomatic Missions in Ghana;  Inquire into any matter relating to land in which Diplomatic Missions in Ghana have an interest and make recommendations to government.

At a brief ceremony to Commission the Sole Inquirer, Mr. Jinapor said the government has no hand in the alleged demolishing.

The Sole Inquirer, Justice Kwasi Anto Ofori Attah pledged to work diligently ”to help put the matter involving the Bulgarian Embassy and the private developer to rest”.
