Social media influencer and activist Kalyjay took center stage today as he delivered a powerful speech, energizing the masses gathered for the #FreeTheCitizens and #StopGalamseyNow protests. The demonstration aims to halt the ongoing destruction of Ghana’s environment due to illegal mining activities, while also calling for the release of 52 detained protesters from the Democracy Hub.
With passion and determination, Kalyjay charged the crowd, urging Ghanaians to take control of their future. “This fight isn’t just for today, it’s for the future of our country – for clean water, safe lands, and the freedom of those standing up for what’s right!” he declared.
The demonstration, fueled by growing frustration with the government’s handling of illegal mining and environmental protection, saw thousands of citizens marching through the capital’s streets. Their goal: to deliver a clear message to authorities that the health of Ghana’s water bodies and the fate of the detained protesters cannot be ignored.
Kalyjay’s rallying cry echoed throughout the city, further solidifying his place as a prominent voice in Ghana’s activist movement. The protest has sparked a new wave of civic engagement as the citizens demand urgent action against illegal mining and justice for those arrested while advocating for change.
