Minister of Works and Housing Francis Asenso Boakye has directed the planning department of the District Assemblies to enforce the environmental and sanitation law by demolishing all structures on water ways.
In addition, all the 300 structures identified to have been built without permits must be pulled down immediately to spare the country the loss of lives and property.
The Minister gave the directive when he toured some of the water prone areas in Kumasi to familiarize himself with Saturday’s rainstorm disaster which claimed three lives.
