A motionless body of the Krontihene of the Goaso Traditional Area in the Bono Region, Nana Yenhyira Kwadwo Kumah, has been found in a bush near the town.
The body has been deposited at the Goaso Government Hospital mortuary.
In an interview, a son of the late Krontihene, Mr. Richard Kwabena Acheampong, said the family is yet to ascertain what led to his death.
“From the eyewitness, they found him under a certain tree. He was lying lifeless and prostrate. His clothes were not torn, there was no blood, and there was no evidence of struggle or anything. There was nothing like that. The body is at the Goaso Government Hospital, and the police have been involved,” he explained.
The discovery has thrown the entire Goaso Township into a state of mourning. Meanwhile, the Ahafo Regional Police Command has begun investigating the incident.
