Leadership of Assemblies of God Church pays courtesy call on Energy Minister

Leadership of Assemblies of God, Ghana has paid courtesy calls on the Minister of Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh and his Deputy, Kobina Abbam Aboah Sanie in Accra.

The visit was to congratulate Mr Sanie , who is a member of North Kaneshie Assemblies of God , on his recent appointment as Deputy Minister of Energy. The delegation used the occasion to pray for the Ministry of Energy and the nation.

The General Superintendent, of the Assemblies of God Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam , who doubles as the Vice Chairman of Africa Assemblies of God Alliance, in an interaction called on the nation to “seek the face of God diligently in these challenging times.

He admonished the deputy minister to “represent Christ well in politics. The Minister of Energy Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh lauded Assemblies of God, Ghana for her contribution towards the development of the nation since its inception in Ghana in 1931. This is particularly in the areas of medical care for rural communities, the establishment of schools and championing moral excellence. He called for more prayers for the nation.

For his part, the deputy minister Sanie thanked the leadership of the church for their diverse support . He promised to avail his services and expertise to the church at all times , when needed. The General Superintendent presented souvenirs of the church to the Minister and his Deputy.
