Superintendent George Asare, one of the Senior Police Officers caught on tape planning to allegedly remove the Inspector General of Police from office, says Former Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bugri Naabu’s comments and response regarding their meeting before and after the tape leaked are nothing but false.
Appearing before the Committee probing the authenticity of the tape seeking to oust the IGP from office, Superintendent Asare said he is surprised at the response of Mr. Naabu when he appeared before the Committee because his first meeting with Mr. Naabu was when Mr. Naabu’s son invited him to meet his father in 2015.
He said Mr. Naabu, in their meeting, admitted his role in the appointment of the IGP and could still influence his removal.
