The NDC Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency, Benjamin Narteh Ayiku has begun the construction of a 30-capacity Bed Hospital for the good people of Teshie in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
The first phase of the facility which commenced immediately after the sod-cutting ceremony on the premises on 22nd January, 2024 is expected to be completed in about six months.
With modern equipment that enable the facility to help reduce the pressure on the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) Hospital and as well bring quality health services to thousands of residents in and Teshie Beach area and Teshie township.
The projects form his redemption drive to fulfill some of his campaign promises to Teshie as he said, “it is with great pleasure and humility that I stand before you, honoured to fulfill a commitment I made to you during my campaign”.
According to him, he vividly remembered the visit he made to the Teshie Community Clinic during the solemn promise he made to the community…. “I promised to help transform the clinic into a polyclinic, one that would serve the healthcare needs of our community with excellence and compassion”.
At the groundbreaking ceremony heavily attended by about Seven MPs to support him, as well as members of Party including both The National, The Regional and The Constituency Executives, Benjamin Ayiku was reminded by the power of determination and collective effort and stressed the fact that, as he since he stood on what he described as an anointed ground, “our future polyclinic will rise. It fills my heart with immense pride to announce that the Presby Church of Ghana has graciously provided us with this land. May the almighty God bless the leadership of the church and all persons who contributed in securing the land for our polyclinic”.
He again submitted that the completion of the project will ensure that every body of his community regardless of their status in life will have access to high-quality health care services which are closer to him or her.
