Let us inspire positive change and advance the cause of African media- Fatimatu Abubakar

At the pre-event of the 3rd African Media convention (AMC) which was held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, the Minister designate for Information, Fatimatu Abubakar welcomed and extended her heartfelt greetings to all participants from the various African continent.

She explained that, the 3rd African Media Convention is a three days program which kicked off today 15 May and will end on Friday 17 May, 2024 at the Accra International Conference Center.

 Madam Fatimatu Abubakar mentioned that, discussions over the coming days will set the stage for vital dialogues on sustainable media practices, innovation and environmental stewardship. 

She indicated that, the presence of participants will enrich the various sessions ahead as well as underscore the importance of collaborative efforts in shaping the future of African media.

She emphasized on the importance of such gatherings which she made a reflection on the past conventions in Arusha and Lusaka, they were reminded of the transformative power of these gatherings. She again encouraged participants to embrace this safe space to pursue truth and elevate the narratives of our continent and navigate these crucial questions with open minds and unwavering dedication.

In closing, she extended her sincere appreciation to the Steering Committee, the Local Organizing Committee led by the President of GJA, Mr. Albert Dwumfour and all stakeholders for their tireless efforts in making this convention a reality.
