Members of the Locked-Up Investment Holders Forum have picketed the Ministry of Finance for the 12th time, demanding payment of their locked-up funds.

The group threatened to occupy the finance ministry permanently if the stiff reluctance to provide assurances from the Finance Minister continues.

Convenor of the forum, Dr Adu Anane Antwi, stated that the lack of engagement with the Finance Ministry is worrying, urging government to utilise the unallocated 200 million cedis from the 4 billion cedis allocated to address challenges in the financial sector, including 2.3 billion cedis for NIB’s recapitalisation, to pay locked-up funds.
