The LPG Marketers Association has called off its three-day strike. The Association joined in the strike by the Ghana National Petroleum and Tanker Drivers Union which begun on Monday, to protest among others, the ban on construction of LPG stations since 2017.
The LPG Marketers Association called off the strike after a crucial cabinet meeting last night, that lifted the ban on the construction of some gas dispensing facilities.
Vice President of the LPG Marketers Association, Gabriel Kumi told Accra-based radio station, that the Association is satisfied with Government’s intervention. He however cautioned against any attempt at frustrating members.
Mr. Kumi said members of the Association have no qualms with reapplying with the NPA for permit, given that some of the structures were left abandoned for a while and may have lost structural integrity.
