The United Cadres Front of Tema Region, in a collaborative spirit with all Cadres of Ghana, has congratulated President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama and the Vice President-Elect, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman for leading the NDC to a historic victory.

The group commended Mr. Mahama for what they called “unprecedented emphatic electoral victory that has crowned our collective NDC electioneering efforts of 2024”, and “we also construe this electoral victory as a clear and urgent message from God the Father, and from all well-meaning Ghanaians, that: The People of Ghana have suffered long enough from the brazen arrogance, shameless self-seeking, and bald-faced criminality of the outgoing government, as well as of politicians in general”.

In a statement signed three comrades: Dr. Gideon Quarcoo, Oliver Agbenyo-Ahiafor and Kenneth Dodzi Anlonyah say the electoral victory by the NDC must serve as a warning to all existing and aspiring politicians that “never again should the political class take lightly the mandate that the people have conferred on them … it can never be business as usual again, going forward!” and that “enough is enough, Ghanaians will not tolerate any more, such unpatriotic and Nation-breaking conduct by the political class”.

They therefore called on the NDC, to recognize that they are going to serve as the test case, against which all future Governments will be measured… “we are the litmus test… and we dare fail the test!”.

“In light of the foregoing, it behooves us, the NDC, in unity, to harness all our experienced and proven intellectual human assets, with the needed oversight, into a skillfully-crafted strategic formation and mobilization, to prosecute the massive task of re-setting, re-fashioning, and mindful deployment that is sine qua non for rebuilding and advancing our Nation in the interest of her People, and as a standard and beacon for future generations”, the statement said.

The group also honoured Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the NDC Member of Parliament for North Tongu in the Volta Region for raising the flag of the party high through Parliamentary oversight.
