A Professor of Hospitality Management and Tourism, University of Cape Coast, Prof.Ishmael Mensah, is calling for a rethinking and restructuring of Ghana’s Tourism sector, to fetch the country more revenue.
He said it is about time more resources are committed to development of domestic tourism.
Speaking on the Uniiq Breakfast Drive as Ghana joins the Global community, to commemorate World Tourism Day, Prof. Mensah, said “tourist sites must be made be accessible, attractive and diversified”.
Prof. Mensah, said tourism must be used for wealth creation, by formulating policy on sustainable Community Based Tourism.
“This must be championed by the government to empower local communities”.
