Melcom hands over clinic, administrative office to Ningo-Prampram Assembly

Melcom Group of Companies has donated a clinic and an administrative office block to the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly in the Greater Accra Region to help improve health care delivery services as well as aid the development of the District.

Facilities at the Health Care Centre include a Theatre Room, Sterilization Room, Changing Room, Out Patients Department, and Scan Office. The rest are the Family Planning Department, Laboratory, Physician Room, Lobby Room, Pharmacy, Delivery Room, and Nursing Room among others.

The Clinic and the Office block have been legally connected with running water and electricity, and  provided with Septic Tanks for proper hygienic storage and disposal of waste.

The Director of Communications at the Melcom Group of Companies, Godwin Avenorgbo during the handing over ceremony noted that the donation was done in conformity with the group’s chosen pillars for Customer Service Initiatives, which are Education and Health.

“Today Melcom Care takes another giant leap into the future by living the Melcom Good Corporate Citizenship Dream of impacting lives positively; and we do this in conformity with our chosen pillars for Customer Service Initiatives – Education and Health” Mr Godwin Avenorgbo said.

Mr Avenorgbo said the Melcom Group of Companies was engaged in the provision of services to satisfy needs, recognise human resource safety, security and convenience which had become an area of prioritization for their outreach projects.

He expressed the hope that the collaboration between his outfit and the District Assembly would not become a nine-day wonder but a continuing relationship between the public and private sector of the country.

He indicated that Melcom is ready to engage communities, chiefs and local government administrative machinery of all areas in Ghana to collaborate to expand their services.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly, Al-Latif Tetteh expressed appreciation to the Melcom Group of Companies for their kind gesture.

He appealed to Melcom to provide furniture for the Area Council offices adding that it will serve as a form of advertisement for the Melcom brand.

He advised the District Health Directorate to cultivate a good maintenance culture to ensure cleanliness and longevity of the facility.
