A timely military deployment to the Adum Blue Light enclave helped quell apparent unrest on Thursday, April 24, 2025, as hundreds of aggrieved traders forced their way into a restricted zone, breaching security protocols.

The confrontation began when the traders defied existing restrictions and stormed the area, overwhelming a police cordon in the process.

Their actions prompted authorities to call in military reinforcements to support law enforcement officers on the ground.

Military operatives moved in swiftly to restore order amid growing agitation. Some traders reportedly attempted to confront the soldiers, further escalating tensions in the already volatile area.

As of now, police officers and military personnel remain stationed at the enclave to prevent further disturbances.

Meanwhile, traders continue to mass at the scene, demanding access to trading spaces they describe as essential to their livelihoods.
