Ghana’s Minister of Lands and Natural Resources has denied government’s sale of excavators.
He challenged anyone who has claims of sold excavators to present better and further particulars adding that the ministry is in possession of only 157 excavators and is taking inventory of all seized excavators.
He rubbished claims by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who alleged that 500 excavators are missing saying the claims are untrue.
Meanwhile, the Minister has admitted that River Pra and Offin are polluted. He blamed the act on illegal mining activities.
He warned that the Ministry is coming after those involved in that act and will be dealt with accordingly.
