MP kicks against decision to donate impounded rosewood for construction of National Cathedral

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, says the five containers of rosewood impounded at the Tema Port and subsequent ones to be seized will be donated for the construction of the National Cathedral.

Mr. Jinapor stated this in an answer to an urgent question by the MP for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, who wanted to know from the Minister, actions being taken in relation to the impounded rosewood.

Meanwhile, MP for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak is unhappy with the decision to donate the impounded rosewood for the construction of the National Cathedral.

He is of the view that the use of the wood as furniture for schools in areas where they were harvested will be more beneficial.
