Muslims are being encouraged to comply with government’s COVID-19 protocols and celebrate humbly and solemnly with the fear of Allah as their hallmark as this year’s Eid ul-Fitr is observed.
This year’s celebration will be the second in a row that will be without the usual mammoth congregational prayers, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In line with this, the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has directed all Muslims to observe Eid-ul-Fitr at home and various mosques in their neighborhoods strictly observing the Covid-19 protocols as they make merry.
In an interview with GBC News, the Ameer and Missionary in-charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih reiterated that the nation is living in unusual times where normalcy has become abnormal.
