Members of the National Peace Council held a meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu at Police Headquarters in Accra on Friday, July 19, 2019.
The police in on their Twitter handle said the discussion centered on pertinent issues on Policing and Peace in the Country.
Other issues that were discussed included how to strengthen the relation between the Police Commanders and political authorities and also promoting police professionalism to ensure peace and security in the Country.
Both institutions also agreed to hold regular interactive meetings and joint public education programs to enhance public understanding of the functions of the Police in ensuring peace in the country.
