Navrongo Senior High School (NAVASCO), has been touted as one of the best schools in Ghana.

Speaking on the GTV Breakfast Show, an old student and the West African Programme Director, at Conciliation Resources UK, Janet Adam Mohammed, said the school has achieved a lot regarding quality education and producing professionals at all levels. What is left is for the school to produce a President for Ghana, he noted.

”Navasco has achieved a lot. We have achieved a lot in performance of quality education even though in recent times there have been deep falls we have achieved a lot in producing astute quality professionals in different levels of society including the military, civil service, also traditional rulers and so on, so we have really achieved a lot, I think honorable will agree with me that the only part left is to produce a president for this country we are pushing we will get there. There will soon be a president from NAVASCO. We were taught resilience, we were part of reliance through carpentry, welding, farming, typing, we were taught all these skills as part of our livelihoods development so as he is saying, Navasco is about how to strife and you will see it in all the students. How to thrive, how to survive in society, how to make a difference,” she noted.

NAVASCO old students Union also called Nabia and the school’s management have earmarked a series of activities for the weeklong celebration of its 60th Anniversary, which would be climaxed on the 6th of November, 2021.

On Monday which is 1st, we’ll pay a courtesy call to Navropio, the Paramount Chief of Navrongo Traditional Area who headed the acquisition of the land for the building of the school. On Tuesday, the students with the Nabia Navrongo Branch will organise a cleanup campaign in Navrongo township, then on Wednesday all over the world, there will be Radio Talk Shows at every station. On Thursday is packed, we have a float for both Nabia students to Navrongo township, we have a cultural display by the students and we have Nabia interacting with both staff and students and then we crown it with fun games at the Kasagam park. On Friday, as you were driving you would have seen a very beautifully constructed gate that was sponsored by the 1981 Year Group, they will hand over the gate to the school.
