Director of Cyber Security, Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo has been dismissed with immediate effect, according to a formal notice issued on Friday.
The letter, signed by Chief Director Alexander Yaw Arphul on behalf of the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, confirmed the abrupt termination of his appointment.
In line with the terms of his contract, Mr Osafo-Maafo will receive three months’ salary as compensation.
During the transition period, the Acting Director-General of the NCA will assume responsibility for cyber security operations. ;
